Angel’s Uprising

It’s so close to the release date of Angel’s Uprising, that I am almost bursting at the seams. July 13 is Jerome day and it’s going to be epic.

When I finished writing A World Without Angels, I wrote three different endings. Each one was different depending on what I wanted to do with the second book in the series. I didn’t start out intending to have the Aron Angels series, but I knew I wasn’t done with Jerome and Leila at the end that I had to write more of their story.

So Angel’s Uprising was formulated and I chose the ending that I wanted to continue with. For an exclusive read of the alternative endings, subscribe to the newsletter on your right. Imagine how different the story would have been with either of the alternatives?

Nothing to do with the book, but I'm sure this angel would be in the village somewhere.

In Angel’s Uprising, we are introduced to a bunch of new characters – mostly angels. One of my favourites is Gabriella, an angel who has a bit of a crush on poor Alexander. I love the way she’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind and go after what she believes in. I bet she would be a real handful in real life. But I’m sure Alexander could handle her, he’s a bit of a spunk.

We also meet Reece, a human who is distracting Leila in a way that Jerome does not appreciate. Here’s an embarrassing confession, Reece is named after Reece Mastin because he happened to be on television at a time I needed a male name. Can you guess who Niall is named after for the same reason?

So, as I let my baby out into the world, I truly hope you enjoy Angel’s Uprising. I hope you love the characters as much as I do and are absorbed into the angel village. Because one thing is for sure: The war is not over.
